A live demonstration of the mobility information center hosted by CERTH-HIT will be presented at the KNOWMe workshop, organized as part of the “EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON MACHINE LEARNING & PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF KNOWLEDGE DISCOVERY IN DATABASES”, taking place in Skopje, Macedonia, from the 18th to 22nd of September 2017. The workshop will be held on the last day of the Conference, 22nd September.
On June 14, BigDataEurope’s Transport Societal Challenge (SC4) held their first hangout for 2017 entitled Empowering Mobility Management with Big Data. The hour-long webinar was also the first organised by SC4 after the launch of BigDataEurope’s open-source Integrator Platform (BDI) in May.
The webinar, which was attended by over 20 people with Maxime Flament of ERTICO moderating, gave a status update of BigDataEurope’s Integrator Platform and Transport Challenge’s pilot work on streaming sensor network and geospatial data integration using the BDI. A live demo also highlighted SC4’s latest work at the pilot site in Thessaloniki.
Big Data Europe is delighted to be a Gold Sponsor of the 16th International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC). Supported by BDE partner W3C, the project’s sponsorship reflects its advances in handling RDF at substantial scale across a number of pilots. Big Data Europe’s architecture includes the Ontario layer that enables a SPARQL query to be executed across all data available in the platform, irrespective of its format, in the so called Semantic Data Lake, and the Scalable Semantics Analytics Stack, SANSA.
At the time of writing, it is not known whether papers submitted to the conference have been accepted but either way, Big Data Europe will definitely be at ISWC in Vienna in October with live demos and more. For more on the conference, see local chair Axel Polleres’ blog post. See you in Vienna!
