The BDE Transport Societal Challenge (SC4) will host a workshop on 14th September. Overall, SC4 aims to contribute to smarter, safer and cleaner transport using beyond-state-of-the-art data solutions and giving rise to a European leadership for new mobility services. This workshop, in particular, will put focus on the demonstration of the Big Data Integrator Platform that has been developed by the project. The workshop will also feature a panel debate to find out from knowledgeable speakers about how big data is transforming the transport sector, and parallel sessions in the afternoon, aimed at gathering feedback from workshop participants. More information is available below.
On June 14, BigDataEurope’s Transport Societal Challenge (SC4) held their first hangout for 2017 entitled Empowering Mobility Management with Big Data. The hour-long webinar was also the first organised by SC4 after the launch of BigDataEurope’s open-source Integrator Platform (BDI) in May.
The webinar, which was attended by over 20 people with Maxime Flament of ERTICO moderating, gave a status update of BigDataEurope’s Integrator Platform and Transport Challenge’s pilot work on streaming sensor network and geospatial data integration using the BDI. A live demo also highlighted SC4’s latest work at the pilot site in Thessaloniki.
