Stakeholder engagement in BigDataEurope will be focussed around the yearly workshops organised (at least one) per each of the seven H2020 societal challenge communities. The primary objective of the first round of workshops (May – October 2015) will be to elicit requirements for the big data integrator platform. In the second and third year, the focus will be on reviewing the architecture for prototype implementation, and platform evaluation and showcasing, respectively.
The plans, a schedule of which is shown in the table below, are to organise a 1-day (4-6 hour) workshop for each community. To facilitate travel for stakeholders in the sector, some of the workshops will be collocated with established and influential events across the EU. Where this is not possible, workshops will be organised in Brussels. In both cases, presence by EC representatives is strongly expected.
