2nd workshop on European Policy Perspectives on Data-intensive Agriculture & Food. Joint workshop of Big Data Europe & e-ROSA
The 2nd workshop on European Policy Perspectives on Data-intensive Agriculture & Food is a joint workshop of the Big Data Europe H2020 Coordination and Support Action (CSA) and the e-ROSA H2020 CSA.
It will be the 3rd workshop for societal challenge 2 in the BDE project and is a direct follow-up to the workshop we held in September 2016.
We’ll gather together again a selected group of EC representatives (from DG AGRI, DG CONNECT, DG RTD, the e-ROSA project but also other initiatives) that are working on agendas or projects relevant either to open data and big data i general or more specifically to the use of data for food and agriculture, as well as a number of actors working in agricultural research and industry and already collaborating in international open data initiatives in our field.
Topics for discussion will reflect the priorities agreed upon in the first workshop: convening mechanisms for making stakeholder consultations systematic; EC investment; public-private partnerships; new incentives and business models for data sharing; work still needed on interoperability and standards, especially on collecting use cases and demonstrating impact; need for shared data services.
The event is by invitation only.
The workshop will be held in Brussels on 31 March 2017. The full report as well as slides and photos will be made available through this website.
