Big Data in Secure Societies: updates on the activities in the frame of BigDataEurope

April 21, 2016 @ 11:00 - 12:00

The BigDataEurope project is entering its second year and the activities related to the Societal Challenge “Secure Societies” are proceeding.

Several actions are in place to build a community on Big Data for Secure Societies and to develop the instantiations of the BigDataEurope stack in real-world scenarios through an appropriate pilot in the Space and Security domain.

To keep everybody updated on these activities, the BigDataEurope consortium is organising a hang-out, inviting you to find out more about BigDataEurope and to contribute with your ideas, on Thursday 21st of April 2016, 11.00-12.00 CEST.

Speakers from SatCen (Secure Societies domain leader), University of Athens (Secure Societies technical leader) and NCSR “Demokritos” (technical support) will describe the Secure Societies ongoing actions related to:

  • Community building activities;
  • Remote Sensing data exploitation in the Secure Societies pilot;
  • Social Sensing data exploitation in the Secure Societies pilot;
  • Deployed architecture for the Secure Societies pilot.

The audience will be able to interact and questions will be answered by domain and technical experts.

Registration is free at this link.
